Bright Type Installation

In this installation, a computer keyboard sits atop a black column and a large rectangular light box hangs on the wall directly in front of the participant. When a key is pressed, the corresponding letterform is emblazoned in a 5×7 grid of 35 watt halogen light bulbs. The system records what users type and plays it back later in order to attract more participants to the piece.

The simplicity and absurdity of this interactive installation is what is most interesting for me.
It tends to bring out the inner child in people through discovery of action and reaction.
